A client needed to reverse engineer a complexly shaped piece of laboratory equipment to be remanufactured with CNC milling. I measured the original part with digital calipers and redesigned it to produce a CAD model to export as a STEP file suitable for reproduction with CNC equipment.
I 3D scanned an original fossil Camarasaurus skull with nearly all of the bones articulated together. I removed distortion and restored what little was missing to produce a 3D printed replica of what the skull would have looked like in life, 140 million years ago.
